What are you thinking about when you get into bed and are about to go to sleep?

 

It’s an important question, because when we’re asleep our subconscious mind is busy at work.

And we know that if we want to make any lasting change in our life, it must be done on a subconscious level. That is where our hard wiring and programs reside.

 

Those minutes before sleep we are preparing the ‘marinade’ for our subconscious mind.

So the question is, what kind of marinade are you going to make?

 

Brainwaves:

 

BETA:

Normal awake consciousness. We’re responding to the outside world and external stimulus.

 

ALPHA:

Brainwaves are slowing down and our internal experience is starting to become more pronounced. Our subconscious is starting to become suggestible.

 

THETA:

This is the state just before we go to sleep. This is where our subconscious mind becomes very suggestible. This is a powerful state for change.

 

DELTA:

This is deep sleep. We are fully unconscious.

 

So as we get into bed we start to move down this scale from beta down to delta. The alpha, then theta stages are where we’re preparing that marinade.

 

The subconscious mind is impersonal and simply open to suggestion.

So what is it that we normally think about?

What most of us do is think about everything from that day, and in our life in general, that we DON’T LIKE.

The person that's done us wrong

How we wish we had more money

That we hate how we look

The things we don't have

 

We create a marinade of WORRY!!!

 

Then we wake up the next day with the same worries and fears and we can’t work out why the pattern continues.

 

IT’S TIME TO CHANGE THE INPUT AND PROGRAMMING.

 

We do that with “I AM’s”

 

I am Healthy

I am Strong

I am Wealthy

I am Confident

I am Content

I am Lucky

 

Even if you are sick, start suggesting otherwise. Stop telling yourself how sick you are or how unconfident you are.

Even if it feels silly, LET GO OF THAT. Your imagination is the birthplace of everything that’s in your life right now.

 

This is the time to let go of what your senses are telling you.

Create the reality you want and own it, embrace it and feel it.

 

What would it feel like to be healthy?

What would it feel like to be confident?

What would it feel like to be content?

 

Experience it and feel the positive emotions that come along with it. Let those positive emotions get more and more intense.

If you experience the new reality as if it’s happening now and back it up with the positive emotions then your subconscious mind will go to work on manifesting it.

 

Remember to practice, practice, practice.

You’ve been preparing the marinade of worry for so long that a new recipe can feel awkward at first. However, it will get easier and more comfortable each night you do it.

And it’s a hell of a lot more fun drifting off to sleep with a smile on your face and positive emotions running through your body than with a frown.
